I hope those of you who came to the show jumping had a good time, I would like to say thanks to the hardworking stewards, the day and a half ran like clockwork mostly, and it was down to them. Well done Ebor Vale, Scarborough and White Rose.
The weekend ran so well we have already booked for next year, with the same format, Juniors on the Saturday and Seniors on the Sunday.
However we have changed the school for the Juniors and next year they can expect to jump in BBA for both of their rounds.
The seniors will continue to jump round 1 in Arena 2 and the 2nd round in BBA.
I will be sending out the combined training entry form out within the next day or so, so watch out for that.
We should be ok for entries I think without any limits, but just to be on the safe side, we will be inviting you to enter early so that we can check for intent before you need to enter with head office.
A big thankyou to all who came on Saturday, braving the rain. I hope some of you have dried out.
I would particularly like to thank Ackworth and Brimham for a really good job in running the day. To have that many entries and still finish almost on time is no mean feat.
I have had some emails from clubs praising the stewards, so I am passing on their thanks along with my own for a job well done.
Can I please remind you that although we have individual qualifiers for the KBIS Novice Dressage, we are only getting ONE per test, not one per arena, so please wait until you get your letter from head office with your invite.
For everyone else, on behalf of the committee, I hope you enjoyed your day.
I know the car parking was a big issue for some of your members and this is something that the committee will be looking at before future competitions.
Many Many thanks to Sue and her team for the very long day and hard work to get the results out promptly and accurately. Its a tough job, spending all day adding up numbers.
Sue also put in long hours sorting out the times before the event so
a big thank you to her. Denise WINTER DRESSAGE RESULTS FOR PUBLICATION 2015
We have come to the end of our area qualifying competitions for another year !
I hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer and look forward to seeing you at Richmond for the Winter Dressage in November.
Thank you to everyone for your support and help during my first year as chair.
Summer Show Results 2015
I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who gave their time over the weekend to help make the summer show a great success.
All our club volunteers had two very long days, and thankfully the weather was very kind to us.
Without you, these area competitions would not be able to run.
Well done to all members who competed and congratulations to the lucky ones going to the championships! Good luck to all of you and let’s hope you come back with some national titles for Area 4!
Finally a personal and on behalf of area 4 members, ‘thank you’ to Nicky and the committee for all of their time and work leading up to and over the weekend.
It doesn’t finish there…… all the results have to go into the office, sorting and sifting through hundreds of sheets is not a two minute job!
So finally i have done the ROR Riding Club Area 4 Challenge results of the Summer Show. The winners of these rosettes are awarded to the highest placed ROR in the competition. The winner of the Showjumping is Pete Wicks riding Lord of Dreams for Selby Riding Club who did a fantastic double clear in the Senior Novice to finish 2nd individually and team came 4th. The Style Jumping ROR Rosette was won by Rachel Newton riding for Scarborough Riding Club on Premier Ambitions and she also won the Riding Test ROR Rosette as well!! The Dressage ROR rosette was won by Samantha Dexter on Jimmyling who came 4th Individually in the Novice Competition for Ebor Vale Riding Club and the team came 3rd. Unfortunately i have an unclaimed ROR rosette for the DTM and Meduim Competition as i could find no ROR competitors for that day (perhaps Ex Racehorses just cant dance? ) Well done to everyone taking part and those that didnt win a rosette are still in with a chance in the ROR points league table which i will announce at the Area 4 AGM xxx
Please remember that no one has “qualified” until they get that all important letter from head office.
Big thank you to all who helped out, the day ran exceptionally well and its all down to you.
Hope to see some of you at the area 4 DTM and summer show.
Area 4 Showcross Results 18/04/2015
Message from the chair …
To all club Chef d’Equipes
Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to all your helpers and riders at the Show cross yesterday. Without their steely determination, goodwill and patience the show could not have gone ahead.
Special thanks to Jane Schindler and Eleanor Brambles of West Yorkshire Horseplay and non RC member Simon Harrison for providing the medical cover until the Paramedics arrived.
We can say that the morning was stressful for all concerned but in true determination and Riding Club spirit the event proved to be a good competition, and certainly entertained the Fence Judges and made the Vet and Paramedics earn their fees.
From starting an hour late, and everyone giving up their breaks we caught up and were only 10 minutes late starting the afternoon classes, and managed to finish the final class earlier than the scheduled time!
We wish everyone who qualified (wait for your invites!) the very best of luck at the Championships.
